My dad is currently at The Highlands at Brighton. It’s been fine, especially with Covid, I think they’ve done a wonderful job. I have not really been in there because we are not allowed to, but I think the staff is doing a real job. I liked the facility, and I was pleased with it then, that is why we chose it this time. It was very clean when I was there before, and it was fine. I know they had lounges, and at one point in time they had haircuts and exercise programs, that type of thing available.

My sister is a resident on the 3rd floor and they never answer the phone . Her room is crowded & the laundry practically throws her clothes in the closet. There is a heating unit by the window & the bottom is broken & hanging loose. The wall behind her bed was plastered very sloppily. Her call light is frequently not answered.
They have a PA and nurses on duty at all times. I think it is 6 to 1 ratio in aide help, which is good. I get along fantastically with most people. There seems to be more turnover in personnel, so there seems to be a problem.

I wasn’t waiting at all for any assistance with my mother’s personal belongings that I dropped off for her. I haven’t had a whole lot of interaction there besides that. They have moved my Mother around at their discretion. Most of the time the staff have been rude, complaisant, unprofessional to an alarming degree.

We chose Edna Tina Wilson Living Center for my wife because the others wouldn’t accept her. I am impressed with the room that she has. I haven’t had an opportunity to really spend a lot of time with the nurses, but they did quite a bit on the first day checking her out. They are trying to get comfortable with each other and I think they’re doing a good job. They’re doing an excellent job with the food, too.

Administration doesn’t seem to take action upon hearing concerns or complaints and have actually been very unprofessional and threatening towards family member. The quality of care which my Mom receives depends on the Aide taking care of her at the time and not the general standard of the home, itself.
You get your hair styled by appointment. I don’t think that is a thing now, but it used to be. Right now, my wife is at Unity Living Center. The food is wonderful, and the health care seems to be doing well.
